Safety note<\/h3>\n

Before doing any work on the BSS case, disconnect the mains plug from the socket and also from the case!<\/strong><\/p>\n

When the installation slot is open, do not reach for the installed electronic components. Even if the mains plug is disconnected, these can still carry voltage for a long time and cause an electric shock and\/or short circuit.<\/p>\n

    Preparation<\/b><\/h4>\n
      \n
    • First, remove all transport locks  <\/span>and protective covers from the recess.<\/li>\n
    • Using the Phillips screwdriver (PH1), remove the two C-clamps (6x M3x8 ATEM Mini Case \/ 8x M3x8 ATEM Extreme Case) mounted to the right and left of the recess.<\/li>\n
    • Optional: place a soft cloth on the edge of the recess to avoid scratches or damage to the top plate.<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
      \n\t\t\t\t
      \n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

      Note ATEM Extreme: When installing the ATEM Mini Extreme yourself, there is an acute risk of tipping over after opening the lid in its end position. Only after installing the ATEM Mini does the case reach the balanced center of gravity.<\/em>
      Therefore, when opening the lid, hold the case in its horizontal position until the ATEM Mini Extreme is installed, with the help of a second person.<\/em><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

      Plug in the cable<\/h4>\n
        \n
      • Sort the cables in the recess by installation order (see the back of the ATEM Mini). These are all labeled analogously to the imprint on the ATEM Mini \/ Extreme. Avoid unnecessary cable crossings.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        Note: Do not pull the cables with force under any circumstances, as this could damage them or pull them out of the sockets built into the case.<\/i><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

        • Hold the ATEM Mini \/ Extreme with one hand and insert the cables from left to right, starting with the microphone connectors. Make sure that all cables are securely fastened in their sockets. Especially the 3.5mm audio plugs sometimes need some “extra pressure”<\/li>\n
        • Due to the many cables that are used at the same time, it may be necessary to insert them one by one with slight twisting, piece by piece. In order to make it easier for the HDMI cables to be installed in the housing, it helps to twist the plug of the cables by 180\u00b0 before plugging them in (see illustration in our video instructions). As a result, the cable loop created in this way fits into the case with less resistance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

            Swivel in ATEM Mini<\/span><\/h4>\n
              \n
            • Once all cables have been plugged in and their correct fit has been checked, the ATEM Mini \/ Extreme is swung into the recess provided from above and fastened with the enclosed C-rails. The easiest way to do this is to use a simultaneous “immersion and swivel movement” (see video instructions).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

              Note: Work carefully and never push the ATEM Mini into the recess with high force! If you feel too much back pressure or if the cover plate deforms under the pressure of the cables, carefully remove the ATEM Mini \/ Extreme and sort the cables again until the ATEM Mini \/ Extreme can be inserted into the recess without much counterpressure. You may need to repeat this process several times until the ATEM finds its pressure-free fit.<\/i><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

              Note ATEM Extreme: With the ATEM Extreme, the back pressure during insertion is correspondingly higher due to the almost double number of cables. Hold the case up with one hand.<\/i><\/p>\n

              Note ATEM SDI: With the ATEM SDI, it is very important to carefully prepare and lay the cable loops with the BNC cables before installation, as the SDI cables have a relatively high resistance when inserted due to their design.<\/i><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
