symmetrical

In professional environments, symmetrical transmission is preferred, as this enables much more interference-free transmission of signals. And this even over longer distances. In addition to the shield mesh, which carries “ground” and the “signal”, there is another wire that phase twists the useful signal by 180°. At the receiver, both phases are aligned in the same way to each other again (polarity reversal). Since interference signals “on the way” are present in the same polarity on both phases, they cancel each other out during the phase reversal. What remains is the interference-free useful signal.
