Especially when things have to go fast – all connections of the ATEM Mini are arranged with sturdy sockets on two sides of the case for easy access. And more extras too!
On the front is the central on/off switch, as well as one of the two 6.35 mm headphone jacks of your Rodecaster is ergonomically arranged and easily accessible. With the stable handle you have the case safely under control.
All four HDMI video inputs and the HDMI-Out 1, 5 and all five USB-C ports are equipped with stable sockets on the back for easy access. The RJ45 Ethernet network connection and the optionally available USB-A charging socket complete the interfaces.
And if one of them has reached its maximum number of mating cycles in daily use, then it can be easily replaced.
Simply plugged in directly – the internal power supply provides enough power to supply all integrated components and still has reserves for optional extensions 6 . On the two combo audio inputs you can take microphone signals (XLR) as well as line signals (6.35mm jack) 7 directly into your broadcast. All outputs are designed with stable and lockable jack sockets and optionally there is still space for the battery connection.
Even when it gets hot – with the integrated fan, the built-in components keep a “cool head”, which they thank you with a longer service life! And for those who like it whisper-quiet – a thermostat regulates the speed in the case depending on the internal temperature of the case9.

Every component of the BSS Case stands for real workmanship. The top plate and the entire receptacle are made of stainless steel – robust, corrosion-resistant and designed for maximum service life. The additional powder coating not only ensures an elegant, matt look, but also a resistant surface with a clear design.
Black-coated stainless steel screws fit perfectly into the overall picture and underline the high-quality character of the housing. Cables and sockets come from well-known manufacturers – for reliable connections, even in continuous operation.

Compact & robust
Brings its transport protection with the stable hard-shell case. A robust solution instead of lugging two containers for the components or a bulky flight case. In the BSS case for the Rodecaster video, the components are safely stowed, nothing falls out and with the two retaining clips, the case is always securely closed in case of transport. In addition, the size of just 430x380x154mm is optimally adapted to the Rodecaster video. Everything is included with enough space for extensions. With a total weight of approx. 8.35kg 8 , it remains extremely compact and transportable.

With the SDI option in the Rodecaster Video Case, you have a compact, professional system that leaves nothing to be desired – for a clean, efficient and stress-free setup.
Battery connection with UPS function
What if you were as independent with your stream as you are with your camera? Our battery connector brings these freedoms to your transmission. This allows you to supply your case directly from the camera battery at standard 12 V-14.4 V battery connections, e.g. from V-mount batteries. Or you can use your on-board car socket or another 12 V DC voltage source. This gives you completely new possibilities to carry out your stream completely detached from the mains.
Battery operation with fully automatic switching
If the mains voltage fails during standard operation, the control switches fully automatically and without interruption to battery operation. The guarantor for your stream without unfortunate failures.
A control LED on the front of the case signals battery operation. And all this without manual intervention. This allows you to fully concentrate on the show.
As soon as mains voltage is available again, the system switches back just as quickly and without interruption.
And for the safety of the components, the reverse polarity-protected battery connection is equipped with a 5 A overload protection.
Plug'n'play
Simply plug it in, the on-board electronics do the rest by themselves!
Security built in
Safety comes first – which is why an integrated surge protector on the battery side monitors which voltage is applied. If too high a low voltage such as 24V is accidentally applied, then the fuse integrated in the case housing triggers and protects your components from damage. And just in case, a suitable replacement fuse is included in the case.
Uninterruptible power supply
The uninterruptible power supply (UPS) is IC controlled and ensures safe and automatic switching between mains and battery voltage. In order to all consumers are always supplied with the necessary energy.
In order to be able to cover the special requirements for operation and technology, the electronics were specially developed for the BSS case. Just so that your stream can succeed with or without a mains connection!
Matching cable connectors
You can easily and safely connect your V-Mount or Anton Bauer batteries to the professional 4-pin, lockable XLR socket using the optional XLR to D-Tap adapter cable.

The technical data can be found attached at a glance.
In principle, all signals from the Rodecaster are available at the interfaces of the case. The various internal wiring options of the Rodecaster cannot be listed here. Please refer to the manufacturer’s instruction manual for this.
Due to contact resistances between plug and socket, a certain amount of signal attenuation cannot be avoided. In most cases, this does not matter. However, in the case of very long cable runs, measures such as high-quality and multi-shielded cables may be necessary.
